1952 S/S Over 5 (Is This Even Possible?)

Yes, it's possible. The mint employee would have to accidentally punch the mint mark into the date on to the die by hand during punching. Mint marks used to be punched in by hand until 1990. You can see the flow of metal on each hit making it only to look like something else. Report this Post to the Staff
