1936/5 Buffalo Nickel? - Coin Community Forum

jackson12345 Valued Member Canada 72 Posts	Posted 05/09/2025 11:15 pm Here is a 1936 Buffalo nickel under normal lighting, however when lighting and camera angle slightly change, the 6 converts to 5! Are there known 1936/5 nickels? I am wanting to sell, so how would I establish a value? Thanks in advance. fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3677 Posts	Posted 05/10/2025 1:05 pm Not an overdate. In addition, the two dates have different obverse designs. The left ribbon on a 1935 Buffalo just touches the top right of the last digit of the date and is thin and straighter than the 1936 obverse design, which has a thicker land more angled left ribbon running beneath the last digit of the date. If such an overdate existed, the ribbon would be sharply doubled. Report this Post to the Staff
