My father carried this back from Australia in WWII and it sat in a box ever since (along with a 1915 Aussie Threepence, multiple coins from Dutch East Indies, and Japanese Occupation currency). It's certainly not in grading condition, but am wondering if it's worth anything more than melt price (with 92.5% silver). Thanks in advance for any feedback!
A coin like this, local dealers will typically buy and sell for melt - essentially, at the same rate as they would pay or give for other sterling silver denominations.
