It's a very nice Silver Medal.

Quote: Yep I'm now on backorder as well. Oh well. I'll be calling the Mint tomorrow. If I'm on backorder because they're waiting on returns to fill my order, I'm cancelling my order. It was an impulse buy as I had vowed to not purchase any more medals. I'm definitely not settling for a factory second at the price they're charging.

@jbuck/cptbilly: Thanks for the images!
I like the eagle side of these medals - I find it quite interesting. I'm not much of a fan of the sunflower side, however, as I don't find it to be a strong representation of the medal's "Liberty" theme.

commems, I have exactly opposite feelings. The sunflower and bee are quite beautiful and unlike any other US Mint releases (I'm a big-time flower gardener, so I might be a bit biased). I do agree that the link with "Liberty" is quite tenuous. The eagle, however, seems to be screaming in pain at having its left wing twisted behind its back.

Back to processing status here as well. Maybe they just needed to assemble more product. Who knows.

I have been eyeing the 1982 Netherlands 50 gulden note for a long time but haven't yet pulled the trigger. I think this would make a great combo for display.

That is a very fine not, CelticKnot. And the images are certainly similar.
