Quote:Which Privy will be the first on the 2026 ASE: I haven't heard anything about a future collaboration privy, I was wondering about that a while ago. It would seem like if they were going to do them with the frequency of the first two, that there would be rumors floating around first, like the first two. So maybe that was just a flash, or two flashes, in the pan. Fine by me. I'd get whatever they make, but am fine without them. 2026 will be big enough as is. Maybe the Mint told Eighth Era to just chill for 2026, enough on their plate.

of course I was just kidding... when I posted that I had just skipped over from the thread about the 3-coin sets of the very last zincolns with the omega privy... that's what was on my mind after reading that thread. when the mint did the V75 privy back in 2020 I just wanted to barf. that was the final nail in the ASE coffin and the Mint's coffin for me. I don't bother with the Mint anymore and I'm happier because of it. it was this same gimmicky thing that pushed me out of sports card collecting. they're free to make whatever they want, but I don't have to buy it. but, as someone else posted in that 3-coin set thread, I don't want to be a downer about it. many others think it's great & fun & can afford it. pulling something positive from it: I look at all the money I've saved by not buying them. but I think if they use Rich Uncle Pennybags they should just use his head with the top hat on it. those coins will not be for poverty-stricken peons like me.

MrPink2018 I don't own or will ever buy a privy coin, I also believe, like you, it's a gimmick..

even though I swore-off buying from the mint, I still go look at the release schedule from time to time. I usually just look for the gold coins.
