You could say that the 2002 Sac's and the 2001-P JFK are not
"struck as NIFC" coins, they were just "sold as NIFC" coins.
There's a lot a Sacagawea collectors who consider the 2003's
to be the first 'true' NIFC ("Struck as NIFC") coins.
Every BU 2002-P Sac I've ever seen looks spotty and dull.

The Mint website was selling Mint Rolls of 2001-P JFK Halves late last year, and they even said that they were circulation-quality strikes,
'found in the vaults'.

I got a BU roll of P mint Tylers from the bank today. I was hoping to find a few without edge lettering, but I was disappointed. I did find a good BU for my collection though. One thing that surprised me was how many coins in this shotgun roll from the mint had really bad bag marks.

If a certain percentage of the Golden Dollar coins from the Denver Mint were not bagmarked, I wouldn't have any Dollar coins to use for washing my car!

And these are coins that I get in person at the Denver Mint, that have not been through the Federal Reserve's sorting and rolling machines...

The roll of tylers I got a couple of weeks ago was baggy too. I kept 5 nice ones and dumped the rest!

Oh yes, Presidential dollars intended for circulation are horribly bag marked. I personally don't mind though, because its not like their in mint sets or anything their in rolls with a purpose of being spent and circulated. But your likelyhood of finding a high MS pres dollar from a strings and son roll is probably few and far between.

I wish I would have kept more 2009 SACS instead of dumping most of them. I love the design, and people love it when I spend them. The cashiers usually do a double take if they notice the different design and then comment on "how cool its a new one" or something like that.

The 2001-P JFK half and 2001-P SAC dollar didn't originally circulate despite their hefty mintages. Yes, now the 2001-P JFK was available at the Mint, but whoever gets those isn't going to put them into circulation because they bought them way above face value. I don't know about he 2001-P SAC. In roll searching I've come across lots of 2001-D SAC but no 2001-P SAC.

Maybe these 2001-P should be dubbed "Intended for circulation but did not circulate (IFCBDNC)"

LOL!

Are there actually circulated rolls of dollars? Or are most of us just taking bank rolls, opening them and looking for errors?

Both. Can get BU rolls of the Presidential dollars, usually they have just the current one, but sometimes have older ones, too. Also I get mixed circulated rolls which are >50% Presidential dollars (most of which are BU), SAC and SBA.

Last year, I got a Jefferson-P that looks like a doubled die reverse, but I'm not exactly sure.

I didn't search a roll (but the bank teller did after telling her what I was looking for) and she found a 2009 D Sacagawea. However she wasn't able to find the John Adams D I needed.

every time I've ever ordered dollars all I get is brand new presidentials, I think I'm gonna put in a massive order someday and see if I can force them to ship old ones. I imagine theres gotta be millions of wide rim suzy b's just sitting around in boxes someplace.
