Not too clear, and if so this possible AH 1307 wouldn't correspond to Mahmud Shah's reign in Afghanistan. Could possibly be a 37 with an ornamental dot, which might correspond to 1237 (during Mahmud's reign) or possibly a regnal year? Just tossing out some ideas for consideration. I'm going with 1237. I have several of these coins and yes, I have noticed ornamental dots on the others with clear dates. I was also concerned that only 3 numbers are visible (not counting the dot) whereas all 4 digits are visible on the other coins. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff
