My point is that there are 232 omega cents, not just five as initial articles made it appear. If the slabs contain information indicating the year that they're supposed to represent or indicating that a coin is one of the last five, that pedigree will almost certainly impact the auction results. However, they are all actually the same. The possible exception is the one that Brandon Beach put his fingers on. His fingerprint is literal proof that it was the last one. BTW, he was my state senator before Trump nominated him. He's a great guy (coin handling skills aside). Not having ever met him, I called him once and asked if he'd meet with me regarding an issue. He did a few days later.

I think your estimates are pretty spot on, though they are mint state coins that I'm guessing will grade a bit lower. The gold cents will likely grade higher than the circulation strikes. Because those who want to win the registry set game must have them, I also think that the three coin set(s) that have all three coins with the highest grades will go for more.

Do think the sets will consist of three graded slabs ?

Yes. It will be interesting to see the grade variations. The 2000-W gold Sacagawea dollars all graded the same even though all didn't appear to be the same grade.

I thought about it, but they would not mix well—non-quoted replies out of context, for example. Also, a few of the posts are earlier than that topic, and that will break the merge after split.

Well, I guess it is time that I searched some of my cent coins to see what I have.

that looks like fun, Dearborn.. searching a vaseful of coins, even if just cents, is always time well-spent. you are bound to find at least a few things of interest. ..and if you do...

this is very interesting about the 232 omega zincolns. I can relate to the dismay of some collectors, though. I understand why some may be a little peeved. that's a very similar thing that I felt back in the 2019-2020 years with ASEs. too bad the mint couldn't have done something for the average cent collector... like, mint a few million cents with an omega mark- a raised design, like the mint mark- and release them into circulation, a similar thing as they did with the W quarters, but make an effort to scatter them better.

Looks like the tally for the 2025 cent goes like this:

Philadelphia: 655,200,000

Denver: 645,200,000

San Francisco: 304,725 (proof only)
