A close-up of the characters doesn't give a good perspective to give you a legitimate answer...

I'm thinking it's just a later struck proof coin with some deterioration. I have noticed that proofs tend to look thicker sometimes too with the frosting than the business strikes.

Thank you, I will post good pics of the obverse if it is necessary, I just thought it looked like a bad picture of a dime from my phone camera but I will get my photo setup going if needed. This is a good suggestion I can see that being the case. Some frosted deterioration and other things making it look thicker than normal. I think the things that stand out to me the most would be how small the inner circle of the R, and how long the U is in Trust. The 7 looks extra thick on the top. I'm sure it isn't a DDO like most things but this one just looks extra thick and peaked my curiosity |

Here is yours beside a random example from PCGS, they look to be very similar in size. See what you think.  -makecents-

Wow great editing I appreciate you putting that together for us, thank you. The 1 and 8 look normal, and I change my mind about the 7 I think it looks pretty normal too. The 9 still looks somewhat thick to me but this is probably normal considering everything else. I just can't get over how thick "Trust" looks but it is also probably normal for the series. Thank you for the help -makecents-

very nice close up images from the OP, but it is usually customary to show full coin images of both sides every time.
