Well, a copper plated steel cent would be 2.7g and stick to a magnet. A proper copper cent would weigh about 3.1g.
I would hazard a guess that a 2.9g copper 1943 cent is likely to be a novelty sold from Alibaba or Temu. No doubt the cent pros on this forum will have some more detailed observations.

Yep, that's a Chinese fake. They are available by the thousands on dozens of Chinese sites.
