Marv65 Bedrock of the Community United States 10547 Posts	Posted 12/08/2025 7:37 pm Thinking backwards when punching the die, if you went too deep with the punch then the metal around the coins mintmark would be raised not sunken around it. There seems to be a sunken area in front of Washington's profile also on this coin. Report this Post to the Staff
