Fun finds for sure. I have seen pics of the Revolutionary war quarter and not sure why it hit me just now. Back when we had the so called "Carter quarters" or SBA dollars released, everyone who had anything to do with vending hated them. People septn a lot of quarters back then, and would just reach into their pockets, feel a quarter and insert it into the machine. Thus a lot of money was lost as the machine sat for a week idle and jammed instead of making the owner money.

We had a dollar coin that could be mistaken as a quarter.

Now in 2026, recycling the zombie-eyes presidential coin OBVs, instead of creating something new, puts a sort of twist on that history.

Now we will have quarters that could be said to resemble a dollar coin.

Of course the impact will be harmless since quarters and even coinage is not used near as much as it was back then.
