$67. #30 of 40 acquired recently. Recently I purchased 40 slabbed Morgan dollars (36 ANACS, 3 PCGS and 1 ICG) and will post one a day alongside one Peace dollar. I paid an average of $67 for the 40 coins. This time I will post the grade of the coin 2 days after and this time we can compare our grades with those of TPGs. Thoughts? Thanks! The luster is subdued, but original and intact. The strike is decent for 1886. It has quite a few interesting die cracks and clash marks.
The issues are the edge ding from the bridge of the nose to the ear and four light, but long scratches NNW-SSE on the cheek. There are small nicks elsewhere, but these two hold it to MS-63. Nice for the grade.

trying to catch up on coins since I've been off for a couple days. I had it at MS64 which I think is the correct slabbed grade

Revisiting some of my earlier grade posts. Seeing the bright luster and overall appearance in the slab photos, my original grade is at least a full step too low here. I'll bump up to the MS-64 that others saw. This is a nicer coin that I gave it credit for.
