First I want to send out a big 'THANK YOU' to Ray Parkhurst for some truly great info on setting up and taking these shots. I built my own rig for taking these shots from some of other things he's built and he was immensely helpful. Below are my first two beauty shots of two of my toned Morgan dollars.

I had my wife compare the actual coins with the colors returned on these images and she confirmed, yep they look like the coin when you move them in the light to pick up the colors.

I built the cell phone version. I already have a DSLR version and with my advancing age I wanted a solution that was less difficult on my back. This is working perfectly.

srs77, I also work off a DSLR copy stand setup, and from what I have been seeing in the cell phone version, I might switch as well.

Excellent pictures!

Obviously there is image editing software involved. What did you use? The background and text are some kind of template, obviously. It looks clean and professional. =)
