Here's a few examples of better strikes I've picked up recently.

23-s with nice toning. Ms63 Not a hammer strike but nice for the year/mm.

I think the market speaks for itself on many coins, that's why you have designations like FSB on Mercury dimes, FH on SLQ, FBL on Franklin halves, etc.

Personally I prefer a well struck coin, bit will settle for a lesser strike for series known for it.
