AU-50/53 cleaned. Looks like some slight wear in the hair, and on the edges of the wings.

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree it definitely looks like it has been cleaned looking at the scanned images especially the obverse. In hand and through a magnifying glass however it doesn't look like it has been cleaned. I guess you live and learn.

au-55 cleaned. you can tell by the hairline scratches IMO

One more vote for "cleaned" here. Perhaps they are less apparent in-hand but the obverse especially shows diagonal hairline scratches from abrasive cleaning. Color-wise the coin looks thoroughly "scrubbed".
In terms of wear I see significant loss of detail over Liberty's forehead, on her nose, on the obverse olive leaves, some star centers, and the center eagle tail feather. I'd call it AU-50 for detail.

That coin looks like it's very harshly cleaned. I wonder if someone did the baking soda treatment on it. That's a shame (assuming it is cleaned), because unless it's a key date, it has a basal value (melt) for most collectors.

Yeah, I agree with Dave, it's definitely not going to be melt value in that grade. It should be worth between $80 and $125, I'd say.

Yeah, even with the cleaning, it is definitely worth significantly more than melt imo based on the details. AU-53 cleaned. $80 or so seems fair.
