stanton New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 07/19/2009 2:26 pm Probably the die was not what I call (balanced). That is, the the dies pressed the planchet harder on one side than the other. This gives you good form on one side and a weak form on the other. This is clearly indicated by the stars and date on this coin. I'm pretty sure. I was a tool & die maker for 35 years.
