Google turned up trumps on this one, I got a bit of a history lesson into the bargain! The only thing I'm not sure about is the mint mark. Apparently it's supposed to be on the reverse?
Just like early US coins struck in Philadelphia, there is no mint mark. If it had one, it would be under the dot to the left of the date. Same letters as US coins except for "M" was used for the US Mint in Manila.
