Found these tonight, I am pretty sure the '94 is a Wavy Step variety but not sure about the '85 being a Date Shift. Had a lot of trouble getting a good pix, this is about as good as I could get. Thanx.

The 94 maybe,

The 1985 definitely. It is a doubled die. The term "date shift" is not used.

If you can get some pictures posted of WE TRUST, we may be able to see even more doubling. Also, the bottom of Lincoln's bust may show some doubling.

Thanks,
Bill

Two light sources make it look like something is there when it isn't. It looks like the second source could be light from a window. To cut the second source place a card or tissue hanging from you scope to block the unwanted light. Retake the first image with the blocked light and lets see what is really there?

rockdude,
The one you labeled "looks like a DDO" that is what it looks like, there is a noticeable line on the digits and the digits look wide with my 14x loupe. I am still having a lot of headaches with this scope. If anyone is going to buy a usb digital scope make sure it has controllable lighting and a white balance feature.

I've got one except I'm able to turn the led's off and use a outside source. It helps with reflections.

On the '85 DDO I just checked coppercoins.com,they have four non match mine. The one bill is referring to is #002 and that's not the one I have. However I am sure it is a DDO. On the '94 wavy steps I checked traildies.com and there are over 60 varieties and it's going to take some time to match mine, still looking.I don't think I can get any better pix of these, sorry.

I don't see what I would have expected to see on the Motto, the bust or the top of Lincolns head. Lets see another shot of the date that is close, but not as close as the first one. I have to recall my "definitely" verdict until I see another , very clear picture of the date.

The shapes of the numerals on the earlier pictures make it a possibility as a DDO, but the newer pictures , even on the portion of the date that is visible are not giving me the indications needed to say for sure if the coin is a DDO at this point.

One more pic of the date (not too close) and with accurate lighting will help.

Thanks,
Bill

I see wavy steps on the 1994.

I see a normal coin on the 1985.
