I have had these sitting around for awhile. They were all found IN CIRCULATION, so the condition is pretty poor. All creased down the middle, etc. No rips/tears, though! My question is: do these have any value? I don't have a clue, myself... These are very common. Not much value over face. I'd say about .25 over face for the nicer ones. The ones with stains and a lot of folds are worth about face.

Actually, the one with the star could be worth a bit more. Maybe around $30.

I don't collect notes, so I would not feel qualified to give you a value on these. But I would love to hear the opinions of a few others on the forum. I would be surprised if any were just worth face value. The star notes do sell for a premium. If you have a ebay user name, you can search the completed auctions to get an idea of what they sell for. |

I personally view circulated notes at around $1.50 each. Nicer ones might get $2.00 or more. I am speaking about circulated silver certificates in general, not yours in particular. Keep in mind that if you were to sell $10 face value for $15 on ebay, you might break even or even lose money after all of the fees are added in. |

The '57's are worth $4 or less each including the star note according to the Paper Money Values magazine I have.The '35's vary in value. John1  Edited by John1

One of the 1935s has a motto on reverse, what does that mean?

Depends if it is one of the rarer print runs. If not about a five dollar increase in price. Around 194 million without motto were printed and about 31 million with motto.

I was referring to the federal reserve bank, block, and print run. However you will need to find someone else who know a bit more about what the rare print runs were for that year cause I don't know personally.
