Folks, it's been awhile since I posted here - had a heart attack, and needed some get better time.
This coin is giving me fits - I can't decide whether I should grade it VG-8, VG-10, or F-12. There are scratches on the obvese, as well as a noticable dig in the temple area. I think, other than that, it just shows normal circulation wear.
What grade would you assign it if it were part of your collection? Thanks.

Ralph Jones

I would say it is a VG-8.

Based on the 1889 cc I just got back from NGC I would say it would definitely grade VG Scratched. Mine graded VG cleaned which I would like to disagree. Mine and yours look very similar.

Welcome back Ralph! I hope you are feeling better.

VG for sure. The "temple shot" hurts but they usually do you know.

Okay guys. VG-8 it is (with a notation about the defects). Thanks much.
