I told a friend that I would get some opinions on this coin. I personaly think it is an altered date.

The pictrues are not very large to see the details but with the spacing between the 19 14 it looks like an altered 1944-D

I already read this thread. Tell her I am sorry about this purchase but, it's obvious it's NOT a 1914-D. It's an altered 1944-D Lincoln Cent. I am sure she is a nice girl with great intentions. Hopefully she takes this without too much criticism as that was not our intention Education is the key!
