I have a couple of US bank notes in my collection (can't even remember where they came from) and I was wondering if anyone can advise me if they are worth anything more than face value and if you could supply a catalog number for them.

Or...$1.33156 AUD and $9.9867 AUD respectively. As for catalog numbers - I'm having difficulty finding it for you also. Sorry I couldn't help more.

A star note is a replacement note. When a sheet of notes are printed and they are messed up the use these to replace them.

I found a star note the other day.

Are they really worth more than a common banknote?

It seems people get excited about finding star notes, I must have been lucky. I only have two U.S. notes in my collection and one is a star note.

I see star notes quite often since I work with money. Is there any premium for them?

there is a premium but it depends on a whole lot I collect them anyway, factors are as followed. Age, Condition, which issuing BEP and Siganature, modern day notes in ef etc are Not worth a premium really but if you can hold on to it, It might be etc. consecutive numbers of that series and unusuall numbers will also increase the amount 00000011*, H10101010*, K1234567*, F89011098*, E12341234*, K89018901* etc are examples that are highly sought after even with out the star also notes withe the star first signify it as being earlier date and are worth more *63685490 K
