I GOT IT. Was going through old collection I was left and low and behold a SNOW 1 variety 1888/7 Indian penny. Sent it off and it was verified and graded g-6 by anacs. WOOO HOOO. Trying to locate population reports on it, If I am correct only 23 snow 1 varieties are know, well 24 now with mine. Anyone have any info on on the snow 1 variety? let me know please. Here are the pics of the coin before it was graded, am taking it to have it professionally photographed and will post those pics soon as I get them. I am still new to error collecting but having a lot of fun in the hunt.

Does not seem to match this one. But if ANACS had it in hand and certified it as such then congradulations are in order for a major score.

Great Find,
It's some times hard to see all of the diagnostics in the lower grade coins, but if it's ANACS certified, that sure says a lot. You might want to send it on in to Rick Snow for his opinion.

The population report can be found here:

http://www.fly-inclub.org

Hit the population button, we try to keep it updated as much as possible, just added a few to it two weeks ago.

Again Great find, and if you have the cert numbers I can add it to the population report. I would also like to add a little story in the upcoming Fly-In Club's Longacres Ledger about your find, with your permission.
Please contact me off list.

Thanks,

I still don't see where the '7' is, or have any idea what the 'Snow' variety is... If someone could take the time to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it! (highlighting the '7' might help!)

Hi Realtor

Look to the left of the last 8 upper loop and then in the loops of the last eight you will see parts of the 7 under it .

Rick Snow is a specialist and is published. I'm sure his website could say more then I could.
