Hi all I purchased this coin a while ago and the dealer said ti was an 1880 coin. However when a scanned it the other day the second 8 looks more like a 9. Any opinions appreciated.
Thanks
Bryan

From 1859-thru mid 1886 the last feather pointed between the I and C of America. The type 2 1886 thru 1909 the last feather pointed between the C and A of America. This is one way of narrowing a date on an IHC. There are other ways as well.

Hi, bryan, I agree.. definitely, an 1890, it doesn't even look like an "8"
