Anyone know anything about this? when it started etc.

I looked at the application to sell document (link on teh front page there) and stopped when it hit SIN and banking references...

I wouldn't provide all that data to my lawyers.. never mind a jeweler.

Knew it was JM, I posted that in the title kiddo :)

Can't argue there (with them having everything). Guess I'm just not the trusting sort. I don't give up my data easily for a third party to hold. Name, address, tel and credit card should be enough for anybody. I think I find the requirement for more than that to be intrusive and dangerous in this day and age.

I'm going to pass on this site.

Won't stop me from buying directly from J&M though.

Anyone asking you for your SIN should give you enough suspicion. Banking references? Really? I even hate it when stores ask me for my postal code, or telephone number because you can track someone down with any of those two pieces of data. Keep these things safe!

I work within the banking network and I would be reluctant to give my sin to anyone . I would assume they are concerned about the integrity of a bidder or credit arrangement. I would be more comfortable with a line on my credit card.

I agree with Mr. Canada too many people are already putting a "soft touch" on credit reports. In Canada we have no way of locking our credit data from such touches even though we may not be credit seeking. I wish we had a law similar ot the US in that regard.

Anyhow, no one will get my SIN so that I may sell coins.
