Been up on Teletrade looking around last 2 weeks. Have not bid on anything yet but found out something that amazes me. The prices for common Lincoln proofs PR70DCAM are bringing 4 to 5 times higher for PCGS than for NGC for the same coin. Is this because NGC does not have a Registry? PCGS are bring $200 and up but same coin PR70DCAM or Ultra Cam in NGC is bringing less than $75. Am ready to take my Lincoln proofs not slabbed and send them to PCGS hoping to get at least one PR70 which would change it from a $5 coin to a $200 coin. If all the other were PR69DCAM they would at least pay for the Certification costs. Lets get some input on this. I may be missing something somewhere.

NGC is much more lenient on giving MS and PR-70's on Modern coins, leading to PCGS MS and PR-70's generally bringing much higher money.

NGC and PCGS both have registry sets.

I've been watching Teletrade auctions for quite a while and I find that the PCGS MS65+ coins usually go for a lot more than NGC. As wheatguy alluded to, the population of PCGS coins in these conditions are lower than NGC.
