I was hoping you all could take a look at this Morgan and confirm what he is saying. Thanks

Near/Far dates tend to waver between individual VAMs, although anything at 2.0 denticles (such as this coin) is definitely going to be considered a Near Date. I believe he's got the attribution right. Looks like the poor guy's been bitten by the VAM bug - he's attributing just about every Morgan he's selling whether it carries a premium or not.

I feel his pain.

Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong. I thought that was the name of the game - attribute them all.

While looking at his listings thats the same thing I was thinking. I am thinking about making him an offer so I was wondering what, if any, impact the VAM would make on it.

Anyhow, I offered him $28.00 with free shipping and he accepted it. After I paid for it I saw this e-mail from him....

Hello,
VAM-9 doubled 18 strong
A rarer coin than VAM-7
Regards,
Darryl

I don't know alot about VAM's so I don't know if it is or isn't. Anyway, it's mine.

I agree with SD, its near date...the VAM 7 is a very common coin, and the VAM 9 is about the same in general....for the money I think you did very well!!Gene
