I'm starting to wonder if PCGS will grade any Morgan of "value" higher than MS63 anymore.

The 84 is the one I got from Susan on ebay, the others I beleive they were a little tough on also, but my 82 and 83 would probably be in the 62,63 range and is what people on this forum said they thought as well, but even Susan thought the 84 was a 64 but I guess they disagreed by a point. The others peoples coins I didn't really look at close enough and try to grade them, I just looked at them for identifying marks and wrote them down so I would know who's is who's when they return

The dealer I got my 83 from swore that it would grade 63-64 leaning towards a 64, I now wish that I got it in writing, for I have a sinking feeling that the 62 grade now belongs to me.

yours may be one of the 63's in the bunch I wont know until I get them. If I am not mistaken one person sent me one and I beleive it was a 83 and they said they were expecting a 62 but anything above that would be gravy. Edited to add: I just checked and that was a 1882 not a 83, there was one toned reverse 83 in the bunch and the other two were white, the toned one didn't say "Uncirculated" on the holder (but was told that was because they wouldn't put Uncirculated on there if it had any toning). When I get the coins in hand I will post to everyone what their grades are. Only one I am sure of is the 1884 because it was mine and it was the only 84 that was sent in.
They sure did get these things graded and out the door quick though, alot quicker than I would have ever imagined

That was my toned 83 coin. It was kinda ugly with that speckled toning on back and white on front. I am betting it is gonna be the MS 62 1883.... As for the 1882 I sent, I cannot remember what I thought it would grade..... The 5 I sent came back extremely fast also, even thought they were earlybirds. I have had them back since tuesday. For those that did not see them, here are the grades. 001 1883 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 65 PL 002 1885 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 63 003 1881 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 62 004 1880 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 64 005 1884 CC GSA HOARD S$1 MS 63 MM

Yep, my 83 did "NOT" have uncirculated on the front, I don't remember any toning on the REV, but then again I'm blind in 1 eye. Thanks Bryan for all your time and effort. Please email me when you will be submitting raw coins. Thanks.

Yep, I never even knew until a few months back why some had Uncirculated, and some did not. I finally read an article that said back when the GSA packaged the coins, that if they had ANY toning, or bad scratches, or even errors, they were not labled "Uncirculated Silver Dollar" but just "Silver Dollar". But as you see from the grades, even the ones not labled uncirculated came back as MS coins. MM

The one with toning wasn't yours it was morganman's, I see I wrote down yours didn't say Uncirculated also though, so one that did say Uncirculated and two that didn't went out, wouldn't it be funny if the one that said Uncirculated was the 62 and the ones that didn't came back the 63's

I received the package from NCG today and here is everyone's results Margaret-1882-CC GSA Hoard MS-62 Ducky1100-1883-CC GSA Hoard MS-62 morganman-1882-CC GSA Hoard MS-62 morganman-1883-CC GSA Hoard MS-63 Bryan1315-1882-CC GSA Hoard MS-63 Bryan1315-1883-CC GSA Hoard MS-63 Bryan1315-1884-CC GSA Hoard MS-63 I really think they were pretty tough on the grades but that is the results, I promise the same coins that was shipped to me will be the exact coin that will be shipped back you each indivial. I mrked each with a number 1-7 with a sharpie on the side of the GSA holder and wrote down each persons name with the number that was on the holder, I also noted certain things about each coin that I noticed upon inspection, for example: Margarets was #3 and has MK initial on the Reverse top right,Ducky1100 was #4 and didn't say uncirculated,Morganman's was #'s 1&2, his 1883 didn't say Uncirculated and had a toned Reverse and his 1882 had what looked like a "X" scratch on the reverse, Bryan1315's #'s were 5-7 and I had each of mine with my initials on the reverse Top Left. It may take me a couple days to get these things in the mail to each of you but they will be on their way before the end of the week, if you have special ways you would like me to ship them please let me know, also will each of you please email me your address so I can be 100% sure that what I have wrote down is correct. Thanks, Bryan1315

Bryan,
Thank you so much for doing this. I am not the least disappointed in the grade mine got, I am just pleased to have had it graded. I am amazed with the turn around time, I didn't expect to see it for at least a month or more. Good Job!!
Margaret

I have to say I was pretty amazed myself even though they seem to be faster and faster everytime I send something in but these were the lowest price available (which takes the longest) and they were there less than 7 working days. if this had been PCGS and you sent them economy you wouldn't get your coins back anytime earlier than a few months time

I want to let all of you know your coins will go in the mail tomorrow, I do have to go to the doctors again tomorrow but I will make myself go to the Post Office to get these out to all of you. I appologize for taking so long but it has been hard for me to even get out of the bed most days, I even had my wife take her weeks vacation from work to help me around the house and drive me to my doctors because my back has been hurting so bad. But I will go and get packaging material and get these things packaged up and sent out tomorrow
