ok this is sooo exciting! Yesterday I flew to New Brunswick to visit some relatives, and when we arrived here, we drove immediately to my mom's friends house for dinner. So after dinner, my moms-friends husband (who is a hardcore stamp collector) brought out a small box with about 5 rolls of Canadian nickels in it. He said "since you are a con collector, why don't you browse through these, although I doubt there is anything valuble in there". So I started looking through them, and found most were from the 40's and 50's. I got through fou rolls without success, but on the last roll, with about 5 coins to go, I came across about my 50th 1953 nickel of the night. I began to look at it, and then I looked up to the man who had given me the coins. "I think we've got a rare one here!" Yes, thats right. I had come across a SF-far nickel in about VF condition! worth about $450, in the middle of his "worthless nickel" collection  !! Well that nice man let me have the coin! and I think the first thing is I am goin to send it off to be graded, and then I will send him a nice, long, letter.[:p] Andrew Edited by pattiewhack

its pretty special. I just got back today so am quite tired. loads of fun though.

Ok, I think in my exitement I overgraded the coin, so just in advance, You will probably be able to tell. I do that sometimes when I get excited :0
