My wife has wanted to visit Niagara Falls for quite a while now. Well, I finally agreed to go and so we have a trip scheduled for 8/28. Of course the Falls will be nice and she wants to visit a casino or two. But I did have to mention that the Canadian side of the Falls were just gorgeous. No devious motive here, but what kinds of coins can I expect to pick up in circulation. Are the $1 and $2 coins circulated, and if so, are they plentiful? I'd love to just bring back rolls of coins, maybe I can "lose" her for a while! Or do I have my hopes up for naught.

Thanks,
Tim

You'll get tons of loonies and twoonies. Watch for the new mint mark on all coins to replace the "P" which is present on all the chrome plated coins. Also the 1 cent and 5 cent are available without any mark.

also, the ones without the maple leaves, caribou, beaver etc, are likely to be special issues- pick some of those as well!
