I found what I believe to be a 1911 Matte Proof Lincoln Cent in a bank roll. (no pics sorry)

Now if I wanted to send it in to ANACS for verification, would I have to pay extra for variety attribution?

In other words, if I wanted them to verify that it was indeed a matte proof, would I need to indicate it on the form in the variety attribution column?

It's best to put what you think it is on the form, I believe it's $5 extra for this. Otherwise ANACS would just grade as a regular biz strike if it is what you think it is. Let's see a picture!

ANACS are very helpful if you give them a call they will tell you what to put on the form and how much it will cost.
I always call before submitting as sometimes they tell me about specials I did not know about.

i dont think you have to pay extra for proofs, just be sure to write it in the variety area despite the fact that it isn't really a die variety or error
