Hello there.

I've got this coin which I can't locate in my 1801-2000 Krause. So I guess it's older. Can someone be kind and ID it for me? If it's pre-1800, please post the value as well!

It looks to me more like 10 QIRSH - KM# 295
The fastest we can to resolve whether the 10 or 20 if you write the weight of the coins.

Yes, I know that the 20 QIRSH is heavier. However I don't have any scale for weighing grams.

How about the size? 10 qirsh is about 31 mm in diameter, 20 qirsh is a large crown size of about 40 mm?

It's a 10 qirsh. On Egyptian coins, the denomination is marked on the obverse, below the toughra.

That very well could be a "20". Too worn to say for sure.

According to my catalog, it says the diameter should be the same of the two coins. However if you say it's a 10 qirsh, I'd bet it is. :)

Merry Christmas and thank you. Again.

It is a 20, I think. It is an Ototman Egypt 20 Kurus, dated 1293/29 (II. Abdulhamit). It should have an H mnitmark somewhere, (I couldn't find it) indicating that it was minted in Heaton Mint in Birmingham.
