rh13 Valued Member United States 465 Posts	Posted 12/29/2010 11:15 pm I have compared this 1982 D to several others and the mint mark looks far left,,also the reverse is rotated maybe 10%,,all hearts and darts welcome,,have I overlooked this 82 D all these years? Report this Post to the Staff

coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 12/31/2010 02:42 am Not to my knowledge - which means nearly all the time they place the mintmark in a spot that is acceptable. When they didn't, they would destroy the die instead of hanging it on the press. Which also goes to say that worrying about the position of the mintmark is rather futile.
