I made what I thought was a fair offer and he accepted. Looks like an original, uncleaned coin ( I will know once in hand).
I really liked the strong rims and originality so, I pulled the trigger.
So many of these have some kind of problem associated with them.
This one does have a small nick on his nose. Can't wait to get in hand If there is anything about the coin that doesn't look right, he has a 7-day return policy

Thanks SC. I really like the solid look of this coin for the grade. I would like to start a set of these now that the key is out of the way...oh, that's right, I need the 1894-S

Thanks Super
The seller and I talked in detail about the coin and I was totally comfortable with his info. This is a date that I have been keeping my out for.

Very nice, and in my opinion slightly undergraded. It won't make VG but it is high end for a Good.

I'm a rather big fan of the dark toning on coins like this one. Great pickup!

Good price and when you consider only 440,000 minted, consider youself lucky. Not a real lot around.

What? You mean you don't have a few of those? I thought everyone had one or more.

Thanks guys. Yeah, conder, I am too of the opinion of a solid G6. Don't think it meets criteria for VG.

Thanks just carl. I had a few 1894-S's at one time. I think I bought them from a guy in China

I like it! Nice G-6 at a great price! I've been contemplating one of those for a while, as I need to move on to some different key dates.

Thanks Johnny. I love the key dates and got a great deal on this one. I have decided to start a set of these. I will probably keep it G-VG just to keep it affordable and consistent. I have always liked the Barber dime and Barber series in general. I think it's a rather unappreciated series.

I've thought about getting into the quarters, but I would probably then start obsessing over the 1901-s like I do the 1916. It's those "unobtainable" pieces that light a fire under me. However, they also light a fire under my pocket book...lol.

I can see why you pulled the trigger on that coin.
