I came across this quarter from 1972 S it is in really good condition, looks brand new and almost like a mirror its so shiny. Does anyone know if it is of any value? Also it is a little bit thicker than a normal quarter. If you email me I can email you pics of quarter, it says its to large to post image on here. Thanks.

Looks like you got a proof coin from circulation. Nice find.

A proof coin is my guess also, Look at the rim to see if it is all silver.

to CCF. At most it's worth about $2.It would be considered an impaired proof and it would be very hard to sell it to anyone.

All S-mint quarters minted after 1954 are proof issues(with the exception of the 1976-S Unc Bicentennial) only available in collector proof sets. It is the same composition as other quarters, copper-nickel clad. It is a common coin and would only be worth a couple of bucks if it had not been circulated, a circulated one is pretty much worth face value.
