Do you think this cent came from the US mint. The weight is 1.7 grams.

Yes it did, but it weighed a lot more when it was new and before someone soaked it in acid for an extended time.

Yes, that cent definitely came from the US Mint but it did not leave looking like that. It has had a nice soaking in acid.
