Hey Gang, we all have targets that we keep in mind but don't always share the end goal.
Let me know what you are hunting for right now?

I still have 19 of the 1858 large cent die pairs left to get. I have 34 different ones. 53 different pairs makes a complete set against Turners published materials. He will be posting an 2nd edition to his works shortly and I'm expecting my 19 to grow a bit. I have a complete set of published 9/8's at 19 pairs until he revises. The hunt is unbelievably engaging!

I recently finally found a 1908 VF-EF 10c filler (with the MS+ tuck away safely in the bank). That was a quite a challenge for some reason.

Oddly enough, the toughest challenge right now is finding a Petro Canada Men's Hockey and Women's Hockey "Moments" card. The others are easy (even Klausen) but the two moments hockey are amazingly tough to find.

Another toughy is an 1896 Newfoundland 20c NT1 Small 96.

Heck, I found a good deal on a VF 1875 10c easier than those three!

I'm also looking for a higher grade 1931 and 1933 25c. Why are those so tough?!

For some reason that means overpriced across the board.

Welcome Toronto1

I'm looking for a secret deal on a 1921 50 cent in mint state that I can hide from my wife because the two times I tried to buy one she vetoed me.

I wish I could add something snide like "then she went shoe shopping" but that's not her. I'm just bitter

Any Edwardian of Victorian 50 cents in high grade. I am at a slight advantage over my Canadian friends, because, occasionally, I have gotten lucky to acquire a couple at a big margin below Canadian market prices, from coin shows and postal auctions in Australia.

Gee Ugly... here is an easy solution to that

You buy it and then just hide it with one of us... we won't tell on you.

@marjonbc ... LOL.. yeah but if I buy the coin, I'll need a place to hide too!

I guess we're always looking, I have no real targets but I'm filling in the holes of my fifty cents rolls for the nickel era and going after nickel quarters in a big way too.

sel_69l, I thought I was the only one in Australia chasing early 50 Cents coins, we must be competing over the same small pool. I'm glad you didn't see that 1892 I just picked up!

I'm trying to focus on 50 Cents coins in VF or better (up to 1936), as well as a large cents collection in UNC or better.

Occasionally I stray into Victoria quarters if I see something pretty.
