schockergd Valued Member United States 397 Posts	Posted 06/13/2011 08:15 am It's a quarter gold eagle, 1857-S , looks to be in AU condition , numismedia has AU50 @ $950 (41,000PHP), to MS60 @ $6,000 (260,000PHP) This is if the coin is real , due to the fact there are plenty of fakes out there. On the one below the mm is between the 1 and the / and yours is right above the number 1 . I don't know the series good enough to determine authenticity but this is one difference I see between these two coins Report this Post to the Staff

If real, it's XF40-ish and probably worth something close to $500 in a reputable slab (opinion based on real-world sales of similar, not a list somewhere). Report this Post to the Staff
