I did a test last year on this site. I put a flash banner and a clear gif in the same div on some sections of this site and ran it for 6 months. Over 6 million pageloads the gif had 26% more impressions. Even if you allowed 6% for some that don't wait for the flash to load before they leave (which is extremely generous) that's still 20% blocked. I don't even wanna talk about how SEO useless flash is. Haven't seen an SE follow a flash link or read flash text yet, but it sure looks purdy for the 2 or 3 people that stumble on it by accident.  |

Well we have a winner. Here is the design that wins from specksnyder...  We took this design and tweaked it to match the site a little better though. We used the gradient from the left menu headings and the font from the "What's in your pocket" slogan, then added a little animation to come up with this...  Specksnyder, shoot me your address! |

as I said before I was really impressed with some of the submissions we had from this group. It was very very hard to chose one because there were certain things on each that really made that one button stand out

Sweet! just saw that I won & I PMed Bobby. You guys really spruced up my graphic - that's cool. I was concerned about how to make my idea "fit" the design of the site, I'm glad you all were able to do that.
