I'm new to the hobby.....or I guess you could say I took a 24 year vacation from the hobby (collected as a kid). The vast majority of my collection are morgans. I have a few that have a DMPL or PL obverse where the reverse is a normal strike. My question is do TPG's take this in to consideration when grading a coin? I know that the coins would not get a PL or DMPL designation but would they be bumped up a point for eye appeal?

If they look exceptional for the grade or are very close to the next grade but don't quite make it, they could get a star or "+" if you send them to NGC. I'm not sure what other grading companies do though.
