Yes you read the title right, a dealer by me has a certified quadruple strike nickel that he bought a few years ago. Anyone ever heard of this and what it might be worth?

A quadruple strike could be worth more than a double strike.

If it is early 60's be suspicious. There were fake errors being produced back then.

I would have to say it'd be worth double what a double strike goes for...
2 x 2 = ....

Is this thing on?

My double-struck, ANACS-certified MS-64 1999-D Jefferson cost about $125 a few years back. I thought it was a very good buy, especially since the double strike gave the coin two dates. Applying Bjones value formula would put the quad-strike value at $250.....

It all depends on the qualities of the specific coin (since such errors show extreme variation from one to another) plus the enthusiasm of the potential buyer.
