Could this be post damage, or something else? The whole coin is like this including the rim.

Damage. Possibly a Dryer Coin.

I was thinking more in a weak strike like the one posted by COOP. I have included more pics of my coin and COOPS for comparison.

I see similar characteristics. But, I am no expert, hence the name wrongalot.

It is post mint damage, not a low pressure strike.

On a low pressure strike, note example above, the rim on the outside of the coin is not shaped. This coin has the rim. It looks like a Dryer Coin to me.
