I am just looking for some cheap trays that will hold my silver and gold coins in an organized manner that are in air-tites. Any companies that make some or any suggestions? The air-tite website has a 2x2 display tray that I think would work but it is $17 which is too much for what I am looking for. Thanks.
Wal Mart crafty department has various sizes of plastic, compartmented, hinge lidded boxes. I think they're intended for storing beads etc. I use them for sorting (years, varieties, face values etc.). They're inexpensive. That's my price range!
try the Plano fishing lure clear boxes usually found in the sporting goods department. and if you decide to go that route, take an example holder that you want to fit.
Be careful when storing coins in plastics. Short term storage for sorting purposes is probably okay. However, long term storage in inexpensive PVC plastic boxes will eventually damage your coins.
Air-tites branded capsules and mylar coin flips are all made of non-PVC plastic and are excellent for long term storage and protection.
Let me rephrase...I want to keep them in the airtites, but be able to have them organized and displayed just in some sort of tray that will keep them seperated and not rolling all over each other. For example, I have the australian lunar series 2 up to date and have a tray from APMEX that you can place them in that works as display and organizing. I dont know if I can post a website but like this from APMEX, but cheap and holds more. http://www.apmex.com/Product/61012/...ion_Box.aspx
