I have 3 uncirculated 1988 1-oz Chinese Pandas, which I purchased at that time. Can you advise me about how to get the best price for them? Thanks.

To the CCF Forums. Depending how fast you want to sell, your best bet would be to go to your local Gold & Silver Bullion shop that is local to you. Or, Google coin shows if available in your area. You can then compare two reasonable offers. There is the Craigslist route with strangers at your own risk and ebay with their high % processing fees. Finally, if you have 250 quality posts, you can sell it here on the Coin Community Auction Forum to folks like me. Good luck!

in order to get best price for them: 1) grade them via PCGS, NGS, etc ... lot's of fakes today. 2) list it on ebay if you have enough feedbacks or go to the coin show as was advised already

You can also sell it to APMEX or any other online gold buyer, and ask what is their buy price. If you want to unload it quick, price wise I think is fair compare to ebay or safety to craigslist, is it silver or gold you're off loading?

I'm glad I have no Chinese pandas. If I had to get bullion authenticated like that it would defeat the purpose of having them.

actually it's not that difficult to spot fake panda ... off course if one knows where to look
but as of 1988's, grading them worth it ...

There are sites detailing real and fakes, so its not difficult as before, but to sell it to public without actually seeing it would be a bit difficult. ebay can be scary even for sellers with good rating, as some don't know what they are selling!

I to weary of the fake Panda's out there, but real 1988's will bring a real solid premium, esp if you as advised above and get them graded by PCGS or NGC, there by eliminating the buyers worry all together of any of them possibly being fake, esp if sold through picture on ebay..... A picture may tell 1000 words, but in the end on ebay it is just an idea of what you are getting as I sold a real nice 40 Franc on ebay not long back and the buyer said in feedback that the coin was way nicer then the picture, and I thought the picture looked great. Opinions, we all got them an often they vary, lol....
