I started looking for some nice red cents to add to my collection which is complete from 1941 to 2012. I went to a local coin show just to see what was available. I came across a slabbed 1930 MS66 NGC. The asking price was $70. I didn't buy it but I can pick it up if I want it. Does the price sound ok? I did a bit of research, and it seems to be within the range that this coin trades.
Thanks.

ALL price guides, are just that.....a guide. First, YOU have to determine if the coin is truly an MS66 coin.

I use this as a guide.....

...and many others.

IF it's a solid 66 then the price is fair. NGC 66s of the date have gone as low as $40 this year.

Well struck, full red pieces with strong luster and minimal contact marks are worth $70 for sure.

Thanks. I viewed the coin and it had all the attributes for a good MS66 coin.
