Hoping some of the pros will chime in - at least anyone with experience with the 2006 DDR's.

Just went through a couple OBW full date rolls of 2006P and found 3 different DDR's - this one is the most difficult to ID - I'm wondering if it is the result of a polished die or too minor to list; however there is doubling seen to the left of the statue (viewers right). I have about 8 with the exact same anomaly.

Thanks in advance!

It looks like there is some proof marking in the first photo, but I am not an expert. Someone else probably knows what it is. Could we see a picture of the date?

Coinfan - not sure what "proof marking" is - . This is a business strike 2006P. I'll work on getting a couple pics from the obverse asap!

Thanks jlg!! Tried a new setup using an upside down salad bowl with a hole in the bottom for a diffuser/reflector/light "bowl" (haha). Still working on the extreme highlighted areas, hopefully will produce a better image for the coin's obverse.

the obverse as requested....

I've found a die crack that is also highlighted above the eyebrow...

Try matching it up to one of these. You having the coin in hand would make it easier to see if there are any matches.

Thanks Papatony; however I was looking for a couple hours straight on coppercoins, wexler's, and LCR and couldn't find a match for this type

I guess I could send it in to see if it is a new variety - just know there are a lot for this year - the doubling IS very noticeable though - I took another image with the USB - shows how long the doubling is.

... no problem jlg...

it's kinda just thrown together and not refined yet - I hate having to reposition the bowl everytime - kind of a pain - thinking of a design that I can slide the coins in and out without touching the bowl or having to refocus.

Cool!

You don't have to cover the bottom to make it black - I did this for a "DIY beauty dish" for my portrait photography, but ended up using it for coins.
