These are real and are Byzantine Roman coins so will be around 1000 years old.

I cant ID them to the Emperor but others here can and will.

Funny that these ones are real ones since they are the most represented in that collection I try to work on. So much for my learning curve...

I would guess 6th Century. For Byzantine bronzes they are actually quite nice !

They are all Byzantine, they are all folles with is 40 nummi indiciated by the large M. The obverses all all upside down, but from what I can make out the first one is the emperor Justin I 518-527, the second is Justin II and Sophia 565-578, and the third appears to be Justinian I 527-565.

They are genuine Byzantine coins. echizento is right about the rulers. All are from the Nikomedia (Nicomedia) mint, as "NIKO" indicates.

Whatever some 'fool' will pay for them ...... In this case my best guess would be $60-80 maybe a few more depending on the circumstance

Comparable coins are available at $8, $12, and $12, if you watch ebay for a while.
