I had this on my watch list on ebay because I need a few of them for my set. I was going to put a bid of ~ $35...

The pictures are a little too poor for me to see any varieties, is anyone seeing something I'm not?

That is weird, I have some my self and the LCS said there is no local market for them and didn't want to even waste his time looking at them. yeah I'd say ~ $35... too.

Their price is crazy, I'm not seeing a single shot of the obverse's and the quality is not really that great. I don't know key dates for them but that would have to be 12 'extra' rare keys to go ten times over a sane price.

What are the key dates by the way?

I know that the 1871 is a key date, but there wasn't even one in that lot.
I still wouldn't think it would go for that much even if there was an 1871.

I'm working on a better camera set up now, can't wait to show off my eye-candy better, I've got an 1897 that I describe as 'fair to good quality' in my catalog most of the others are listed as 'date worn off'. I'll dig 'em out once I get a better camera rig.

Can't be certain from the photos, but the 1874 appears to be reverse I, a very rare variety, and likely to fetch $1000-$2000+ in a British auction.
