At first I thought identifying this 'coin' would be easy but it has me baffled. Weight is 13g and diameter is approx 34mm. I just don't think it is an actual coin, possibly a token of some sort but for what ? Can anyone tell me what it is please ?
Thanks
Brian.

To me it looks like a medallion or some sort of souvenir token.

You are correct in that it's not a genuine coin. It is a "jewellery replica" of an Ottoman gold coin, specifically, the 500 kurush of the late 1800s (NGC example). The bumps at the top of the second picture are where a loop for wearing would originally have been attached. Given the discolouration, it is not made of solid gold.

Many thanks for the info'.
Now I know what it is I'll put it with my other "belly dancer" tokens.
Cheers
Brian.
